EXALTEC delivers a key-enabler product for global organisations wishing to substitute their legacy applications to J2EE technology and the SOA Paradigm, taking out a significant amount of upgrade cost, reducing expensive dependencies and bringing down the life time cost of their applications.
EXALTEC was founded in 2000 and is the original legacy-to-J2EE modernization company. Following an extensive R&D phase the product was validated by IBM as ’Ready for Rational Software’ and EXALTEC became an Advanced Level ∼ Industry Optimised IBM Business Partner. In 2005 EXALTEC secured a patent for model-driven, legacy modernization - the only correct way to modernize legacy applications. In 2006, EXALTEC signed a joint marketing agreement with Sun Microsystems which uniquely enables EXALTEC to bundle the Sun Application Verification Kit with B+ so that users can check the compliance of the generated code with Sun’s Java Standards.
The current market opportunity is being driven by the emergence of SOA, de-support issues, open source, the impact of global compliance issues and an improving cost/benefit ratio of replacing core legacy systems with modern J2EE and SOA applications. Having conceived the vision six years ago and having proven the concept, EXALTEC is now set to become the category leader in a space that was once considered a hard sell but is being rapidly transformed by the combined impact of trends in SOA, compliance and open source.
